Our expertise

We conduct applied research and consultancy projects related to the sustainable management of materials and resources. Our projects cover the entire waste hierarchy, from landfilling and incineration to recycling, reuse, and waste prevention, with a strong focus on circular solutions.

We work with resource flows involving plastics, textiles, food, electronics, and critical raw materials, among others. Our projects include feasibility studies, analyses, life cycle assessments (LCAs), statistical evaluations, recommendations for action, and policy and knowledge support.

Specifically, we work with:

  • Sustainable management of waste and resource flows through decision-support tools, risk assessments, digital solutions for sustainable material flows, and solutions for sorting, recycling, and treatment of various materials.

  • Mapping, quantification, and analysis of waste and material flows.

  • Life cycle assessments and environmental impact evaluations of reuse, recycling, and other circular solutions.

  • Facilitating networks and stakeholder dialogues to strengthen collaboration across value chains and supply chains.

  • Developing and proposing policies and regulatory instruments that support the transition to a circular economy.
