Employee stories

IVL has been active in India since 1970. In 2019, I established IVL India in Mumbai as a wholly owned subsidiary, starting with one employee. Today, we are a team of around 60 professionals. I currently serve as Country Manager for India at IVL in Sweden, as well as CEO and Director of IVL India. These roles enable close collaboration between India and Sweden and support IVL’s work in sustainable development and cleaner production. What I value most about working at IVL is the opportunity to build partnerships, develop new ideas, and make a tangible difference.

I am among the few employees who joined IVL India just four months after it was established. Much of our work focuses on the water sector, where I have my main expertise. Collaborating with Mumbai—one of the world’s largest municipalities—is both complex and rewarding, as our projects can have a meaningful impact on both people and the environment. For me, the most rewarding aspect of working at IVL is seeing how our research and projects translate into real, measurable outcomes.
