We operate across the full environmental and sustainability spectrum, and our activities are organized into several larger areas that bring together related expertise and perspectives. Within each area, there are specialist groups with expertise ranging from natural science analyses of air, water, and soil to technology development, circular material flows, energy and transport, as well as economics, urban planning, and strategic transformation.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration and close cooperation with both industry and the public sector, we are able to combine detailed analysis with a holistic perspective and develop solutions that work in practice. The group has a turnover of 574 million SEK, and the Institute for Water and Air Protection Research Foundation (SIVL) is the sole owner of IVL. Representatives from both the business sector and government agencies sit on our boards.
