EPD International AB is a 100% owned subsidiary to IVL and a pioneering leader in environmental product performance, committed to promoting transparency and responsible practices across industries. As part of our mission, we manage the world’s first and longest-running Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) program, providing valuable insights into the environmental impact of products and services.
We are expanding! EPDs are Best Practice to many applications and to grow our EPD Program responsibly, we now look for an experienced Audit & Quality Assurance Expert to join the EPD Secretariat.
Key Responsibilities

Auditing & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Conduct annual planning, coordination, implementation, reporting and follow-up of internal and external audits.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures.
- Market Development:
- Monitor global trends in environmental reporting and stay informed about evolving policies.
- Identify growth opportunities for the EPD program and contribute to its expansion.

Thought Leadership:
- Contribute to research and thought leadership in the field of environmental auditing.
- Proven record of entrepreneurial mindset and a record of leadership with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Team player which strives to have a good relationship with different stakeholders.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role you have:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
- A strong understanding of regulations and quality standards (ISO standards etc.).
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of proven technical experience of company standardisation and accreditation of internal and external auditing
- Familiarity with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies – advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive change.
- Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues while working in high-pressure environments.
Soft skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Swedish is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to comprehend clients' needs and offer clear, proactive, and problem-solving solutions.
- Positive and inspirational approach with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in negotiation and interpersonal skills.
