The Role
As a Senior EPD Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance within our EPD processes. You will work within IVL's subsidiary, EPD International, which leads the development of EPDs globally. This role requires a strong understanding of Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and the ability to ensure that our EPDs meet international standards and regulations.
You will be responsible for overseeing the work of verifiers, improving procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is an expert role focused on quality and integrity, where you will have the opportunity to shape the future of EPD compliance.
Your key responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the quality of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and, in the future, Declarations of Performance and Conformity (DoPC).
- Improve and maintain validation procedures related to EPDs, particularly with upcoming transition of construction EPDs to DoPC for a growing number of product families.
- Work with and monitor the work of verifiers, by e.g. providing guidance and training as needed.
- Support in the in-sourcing of verification and validation processes to ensure high standards and compliance.
- Apply knowledge of accreditation (ISO17029) to maintain and improve our processes.
- Handle compliance-related issues and address concerns related to EPD publications.
- Support in benchmarking and comparison of EPDs to identify potential quality issues or inconsistencies.
- Handle complex data related to LCA and verification with strong attention to detail.
The role can be based in either Stockholm or Gothenburg with a hybrid work arrangement requiring approximately 50% of the time to be spent in the office.

Is this you?
To be successful in this position you have at least three years of experience in operational and quality-focused verification roles. You have a strong understanding of regulations and quality standards and you should have 5 years of LCA knowledge practice from previous work experience. If you have a background as a process engineer or chemical engineer it´s a plus as well as a familiarity with standards such as ISO 9000 and ISO 17029.
You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, engineering, or a related field.
English needs to be spoken fluently in this role.
